Soul Train Band 的靈感源自美國經典音樂舞蹈綜藝節目 Soul Train。

該節目自 1971 年 10 月 2 日首播，至 2006 年 3 月 27 日落幕，歷時 35 年，共製作超過 1,100 集，被譽為「美國電視史上最長壽的全國聯播綜藝節目」。節目邀請過無數 R&B、Soul、Dance/Pop、Hip Hop 藝人登台，同時也囊括 Funk、Jazz、Disco、Gospel 等多元曲風。創辦人 Don Cornelius 不僅是節目發起人，更是首任主持人與執行製作人，他為美國音樂文化留下了深遠影響。

如今，來自加拿大的音樂家 Dino Dominelli 帶領 Kris O、Andrew Walton、Simone Yeh、Dee Chen 等優秀音樂人，共同組成 Soul Train Band，在舞台上延續這份經典精神。Soul Train Band 以 American Soul Music 啟發台灣觀眾，融合 Funk、R&B、Hip Hop、Neo Soul 與 Mainstream Pop，演繹從 1970’s 到 2020’s 的經典熱門歌曲，帶來跨越世代的熱情與能量。

Soul Train Band was created from the inspiration of its original is an American music-dance television program which aired in syndication from October 2, 1971, to March 27, 2006. It’s the brainchild by Band Leader Dino Dominelli from Canada.
